Speaker Bio
Dr. Monica de Mier, MBA, has over 15 years of experience in Business Development in the R&D field, having worked both in corporate and research environments. She holds a degree in Mathematics, a PhD in Engineering, and a Master in Business Administration. She has worked for the companies Next Limit Technologies and Abengoa in different roles, and as business development officer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. She has received several awards and fellowships (such as la Caixa fellowship, the Extraordinary Doctoral Award of the UPC, or the PhD Award of the Spanish Society of Numerical Methods in Engineering) and has been chosen as one of the entrepreneur women of reference in 2020 by El Referente. She has devoted her professional trajectory to help organizations in the adoption of computational techniques in their R&D.
