Kim Albarella is the Head of Global Security at TikTok where she has global strategic and operational oversight for the protection of personal and organizational data, assets and infrastructure security as well as mitigating risk against information threat vectors, amplifying TikTok’s security go-to-market strategy and enabling the brand’s reputation as a trusted partner.
Prior to TikTok, Kim was the Vice President of Risk and Security Advocacy at ADP. In that role, she had responsibility for the information security risk program, security controls management, policies and standards, client assurance and advocacy and security awareness, communications and training. Prior to her role in security, Kim spent several years designing, building, and implementing ADP’s Enterprise Risk Management program and in Internal Audit.
Before ADP, Kim performed audit, risk, compliance and technology functions at Morgan Stanley and Ernst & Young. She holds multiple industry certifications as well as a Graduate Certificate in Business Communications from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from The College of New Jersey.
Kim’s risk, audit and compliance expertise, combined with years of leadership and communications experience enable her to achieve business results while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism with a focus on her team-development. She drives continuous innovation and improvement into the status quo while leveraging her ability to build relationships with others and providing top-notch service to stakeholders.
Outside of work, Kim’s passion for educating people on security matters led her to create a security blog, SecuriShe, focused on providing women and families with real-time and easy-to-understand news and tips to keep them safe. SecuriShe is a labor of love that has sparked educational series, community sessions and discussions about security topics.
Kim is also a Girl Scout Troop leader, wife, mother of two, and resides in Clark, New Jersey and whose hobbies include reading, travelling and spending time at the Jersey Shore.
