Screens, keyboards and pads are giving way to new devices that bring to a whole new level the possibilities of human-machine communication. Kinects, Arduinos, Leap Motion and other gadgets are usually present in installations, events or projects where user interaction is a key value. These devices, which are increasingly affordable for all kind of budgets, are enabling new applications that were unthinkable a few years ago.
In the workshop, we will review several devices that are currently being used and others that are in a prototype phase. We will show real applications, trying to generate new ideas and inspire the workshop participants. Finally, we will briefly explain how participants can use them in their projects and how they can be adapted to various scenarios.
